Cupping and Hijamah are two side of the same coin. Hijama is also known as wet cupping. It’s used to remove toxins from the body. We offer 3 different types of cupping: wet cupping, dry cupping and moving cupping massage. Wet cupping is when a sterile cup is applied to the designated point on the body by creating suction to numb the area and draw the toxic blood to that area then small scratches are made on the skin using sterile surgical blade.
Cup is then applied with the suction to draw out small amount of underlying stagnant toxic blood. Dry cupping is when we apply the suctioning cup on the skin, however the blood is not drawn out. Moving cupping massage is when oil is applied on the body to help the cup move around when massaging the patient. Hijama is known to have many benefits from boosting immune system, relieving muscle tension, improving blood circulation, promoting lymphatic system, easing back pain, neck pain and other body pain just to name a few.
